Midland opened its doors in 1960 for two students with developmental disabilities. Today the school serves approximately 200 students from central and northern New Jersey. The School is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and was twice honored by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
The Phoenix Center is a nationally-accredited, not-for-profit school serving the educational, behavioral and therapeutic needs of students ages 5-21 with autism, multiple disabilities, behavioral disabilities and intellectual disabilities. It offers customized evidence-based programs – individualized for each student - which are anchored in a hands-on, real-life community-based instruction model.
Lakeview Learning Center is a Private School for the Disabled dedicated to helping students attain their true potential and develop the life skills necessary to function successfully in the community and become contributing members of society.
Westbridge Academy offers a powerful, therapeutic based academic and social skills training program for students in grades K-12 experiencing emotional, behavioral and/or learning challenges. The elementary, middle and high school programs provide a stimulating curriculum, coupled with therapeutic intervention and support, utilizing a student/teacher ratio of 6:1.
The Mount Carmel Guild Academy is an approved NJ State Board Private School for the disabled. Our accredited program serves students in Pre-K – High School, who are eligible for special education and related services. The school's 210-day program focuses on providing an educationally and clinically supportive environment for students between the ages of four and twenty-one.
Community School's primary goal is to help children achieve a level of performance in the classroom that is fully commensurate with their abilities, intellects and talents. We provide skilled remedial help and a challenging college preparatory curriculum taught within the framework of an educational plan developed to meet each student's needs and learning style.
North Jersey Elks Developmental Disabilities Agency (NJEDDA) Elementary School is celebrating its 68th year as a pioneer in the rehabilitation field for children and adults with special needs. The programs are fashioned to meet the needs of each individual with developmental disabilities. The agency currently serves 260 families from 50 municipalities in Northern New Jersey.
