Program Description:
Learning through Experience!
Celebrate the Children School (CTC) is an innovative NJ state-approved educational day program serving students ages 3 – 21 with autism and neurodiversity. CTC utilizes a developmental model, known as DIR (Developmental, Individual-Difference, Relationship-based Approach- Greenspan/ Wieder). This is a strength-based program that heavily focuses on areas of regulation, engagement, purposeful and intentional communication, problem-solving, symbolic and abstract thinking.
All of these areas are critical and foundational areas to accessing intelligence, executive functioning and meaningful and experiential learning that supports comprehension. The program incorporates the most updated research and framework that aligns with the New Jersey Learning Standards. CTC is rooted in and believes in the power of relationships. Partnering with families to support a child’s growth, happiness and long term independence is a very strong and successful component of the program.
In addition, there is a heavy focus on social skills, friendship building and overall activities of daily living and independence. We are proud to offer community-based instruction, horseback riding, swimming, transition and young adult services, as well as an after school enrichment program.
In addition, we have an expansive campus that boasts outdoor classrooms, an environmental center, gardens, greenhouse, amphitheater, playgrounds and more!
