A PLACE FOR YOUR STUDENT TO GROW
The CEA School is a New Jersey Department of Education Approved Private School located within a public school district, serving middle and high school aged students. We have over 30 years experience in providing individualized transition services to students by developing long-range plans focusing on goal achievement while improving skills that are necessary for adult life.

Our unique setting, having classrooms within the walls of a partnering middle/high public school, allows us to give our students opportunities they wouldn’t normally have in a stand alone private school. When appropriate, our students attend classes, join clubs and participate in activities offered by the public school. All of our students completing their PE graduation requirement attend PE and Health classes with their public school peers as well. We are student centered and offer truly individualized programs to meet the needs of each student.

CEA students work in community-based transition program with staff support. In their final year with us, we spend time with our students in their home neighborhoods learning community resources, such as public transportation, shopping, restaurants, etc. to become familiar with these locations so they may take advantage of what is available to them when they move on from high school. If appropriate, we help our students take college courses on site and provide them with supports to be successful.

OUR MISSION
is to provide our students with skills and experiences in a nourishing, integrated environment preparing them for a successful future.
