CTC Academy provides creative education and advanced therapies to children with many different types of disabilities who are facing physical, medical and developmental challenges. A multi-sensory approach is utilized in a nurturing and caring environment to enrich the lives of our students and maximize their potential while lending support to their families.
Academy360 Lower School is a program of Spectrum360, offering “Options Across a Lifetime” and serving individuals along the entire autism spectrum and with behavioral and related disabilities. Academy360 Lower School is an approved NJ State Board of Education Private Schools for the disabled, providing Preschool, Autism and Behaviorally Disabled programs.
Holmstead School provides an educational and therapeutic atmosphere, which emphasizes innovative and flexible education for bright adolescents who need to be challenged in order to change their motivation and performance. Students at Holmstead find both academic success and behavioral growth.
Pillar Care Continuum High School is an 11.5-month program with a full day of functional learning to support the academics program based on the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards. Students are provided with not only the academic program, but also with physical, occupational and speech therapies services supported by an aquatic therapy program, fitness program, Yoga for students with special needs, Job Coaching to 15 off-site locations in the Essex County area and job site opportunities within the school setting.
The Calais School is a state approved, private therapeutic special education school in North Jersey. For over 50 years we have served students in grades K through 12 Plus with multiple learning disabilities as well as anxiety, mood, behavior and autism spectrum disorders. We believe every child has the ability to exceed their possibilities and we are committed to cultivating this potential in all of our students.
Since 1993, Banyan School has been helping students dream about their future, believe in themselves, and achieve academic success despite learning differences. The approach in our Elementary and High School programs is multi-sensory with a concentration on the academic areas of reading, math, language and communication. Using research-based techniques and assistive technology, our staff helps students develop the skills necessary to learn and grow academically. Of equal importance, our Social Enrichment Programs are designed to establish and foster the social and life skills that are vital both within and outside of the school environment.
Chapel Hill Academy is an out-of-district school for students, Kindergarten through twelfth grade, with learning, social, emotional and behavioral issues. We have 7 counselors and 3 counseling offices, a positive points system, hands on academics and fully certified teachers. Social Skills is infused throughout the day and in weekly social skills classes. Advanced and remedial classes are offered and monitored by our Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant and Reading Specialist.
Community School's primary goal is to help children achieve a level of performance in the classroom that is fully commensurate with their abilities, intellects and talents. We provide skilled remedial help and a challenging college preparatory curriculum taught within the framework of an educational plan developed to meet each student's needs and learning style.
Midland opened its doors in 1960 for two students with developmental disabilities. Today the school serves approximately 200 students from central and northern New Jersey. The School is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and was twice honored by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
St. Joseph's School for the Blind provides comprehensive educational and therapeutic services to children, and young adult students (ages 3-21) who are: Preschool Disabled, Blind/Visually Impaired and/or Multiply Disabled. Therapeutic intervention supporting developmentally based academic programs are individually formulated and implemented to meet a student's needs.
