Established in 1967,The Deron School of New Jersey serves the academic, emotional, and social needs of children with learning disabilities. The mission of the Deron School is to provide a comprehensive school experience with a warm, supportive, structured learning environment that empowers students to reach their highest level of independence and achievement.
Since 1993, Banyan School has been helping students dream about their future, believe in themselves, and achieve academic success despite learning differences. The approach in our Elementary and High School programs is multi-sensory with a concentration on the academic areas of reading, math, language and communication. Using research-based techniques and assistive technology, our staff helps students develop the skills necessary to learn and grow academically. Of equal importance, our Social Enrichment Programs are designed to establish and foster the social and life skills that are vital both within and outside of the school environment.
North Jersey Elks Developmental Disabilities Agency (NJEDDA) Elementary School is celebrating its 68th year as a pioneer in the rehabilitation field for children and adults with special needs. The programs are fashioned to meet the needs of each individual with developmental disabilities. The agency currently serves 260 families from 50 municipalities in Northern New Jersey.

Rock Brook School is a private, nonprofit school for children with Communication Impairments and Multiple Disabilities, ages 3 through 21. We offer a full range of programs and services, including: team teaching approach, full academic individualized programs, speech and language remediation, occupational and physical therapy, social skills training, behavior management, art, music, physical education, current educational technology, after school program and community activities.
St. Joseph's School for the Blind provides comprehensive educational and therapeutic services to children, and young adult students (ages 3-21) who are: Preschool Disabled, Blind/Visually Impaired and/or Multiply Disabled. Therapeutic intervention supporting developmentally based academic programs are individually formulated and implemented to meet a student's needs.
Midland opened its doors in 1960 for two students with developmental disabilities. Today the school serves approximately 200 students from central and northern New Jersey. The School is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and was twice honored by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
The Phoenix Center is a nationally-accredited, not-for-profit school serving the educational, behavioral and therapeutic needs of students ages 5-21 with autism, multiple disabilities, behavioral disabilities and intellectual disabilities. It offers customized evidence-based programs – individualized for each student - which are anchored in a hands-on, real-life community-based instruction model.
