Program Description:
CTC Academy provides creative education and advanced therapies to children with many different types of disabilities who are facing physical, medical and developmental challenges. A multi-sensory approach is utilized in a nurturing and caring environment to enrich the lives of our students and maximize their potential while lending support to their families.
The CTC Academy family is made up of board certified and licensed professionals in many areas including: education, nursing, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy and speech-language therapy. Our high staff to student ratio allows for individualized attention to all of our students while therapists, teachers and classroom staff work closely together to encourage practice and carryover of skills throughout the day.
The Early Enrichment Program offers a group-based therapeutic and educational enrichment program for children ages 18-months to 3-years. The program is designed to stimulate development in the areas of language, fine and gross motor skills, as well as social, emotional and daily living skills in these early learners.
Our Comprehensive Learning Program consists of an Early Enrichment Program, Preschool and Kindergarten (serving 3-5 year olds at our Fair Lawn Campus) and the Primary, Middle, High School and Transition Grade programs (serving 6-21 year olds at our Oakland Campus). Both are state-approved special education programs serving children with developmental and physical disabilities as well as medically fragile students. All of our classrooms are designed to offer our students an intimate class setting where individualized education program (IEP) goals are combined with a sensory-based learning program to enhance their developmental skills and enable them to reach their maximum potential.
We offer many programs to our students and families including: adapted physical education, ballet, yoga, horticulture, therapeutic horseback riding, adaptive swimming, physiatry and nutrition clinics, kidz club, sibshops, monthly parent support groups, educational seminars, and respite nights.
