The Alliance Celebrates 2026 Scholarship Recipients and Their Bright Futures
The Alliance of Private Special Education Schools of North Jersey is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 scholarship programs, recognizing outstanding students as they prepare to take the next step in their educational and personal journeys.
This year, four students were selected to receive scholarships through two Alliance-sponsored programs designed to support students with disabilities as they pursue post-secondary education, vocational training, employment opportunities, and other pathways toward independence and success.
The recipients of the 2026 Joe Gorga Scholarship are:
- Emanuel of Honor Ridge Academy
- Treazure of Benway School
The recipients of the 2026 Connections for the Future Scholarship are:
- Eliana of Kearny High School
- Quadir of Donald Payne School of Technology
These scholarships reflect The Alliance’s ongoing commitment to supporting students beyond graduation and helping families navigate the transition to adulthood. Whether a student’s path includes college, vocational training, employment, residential services, or day habilitation programs, The Alliance believes every individual deserves access to opportunities that help them thrive.
“Our scholarship recipients represent determination, resilience, and the limitless potential of students with disabilities,” said Tracy Lee, President of The Alliance. “We are honored to support these young adults as they pursue their goals and begin exciting new chapters in their lives.”
For more than three decades, The Alliance has served as a resource for families, school districts, educators, and community stakeholders throughout New Jersey. Through advocacy, educational programming, family resources, scholarship opportunities, and collaboration with member schools, The Alliance works to ensure students with disabilities have access to the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
In addition to its scholarship programs, The Alliance provides families with access to advocacy resources, educational webinars, transition planning information, and its online Find a School tool, helping connect families and school districts with specialized educational programs throughout New Jersey.
The scholarship program is one of the many ways The Alliance continues its mission of supporting students throughout every stage of their educational journey—from early intervention through transition planning and beyond graduation.
One of this year’s Joe Gorga Scholarship recipients, Treazure, has already begun planning for her future. According to Danielle Bourne, Director of Benway School:
“Treazure is a remarkable young woman whose resilience, determination, and drive have carried her through significant challenges on the path to her goals. In true Treazure fashion, she has developed a plan as resourceful as she is: pursuing her education while simultaneously laying the groundwork for her future business. This fall, she will enroll as a full-time student in the Early Education program at Sussex County Community College, the first step toward opening and operating her own preschool, ‘Treazure’s Treasures.’ The Joe Gorga Scholarship will help offset the cost of her education while supporting the initial investment needed to bring her preschool dream to life.”
Scholarship recipient Eliana shared her appreciation for the support she has received through the Connections for the Future Scholarship.
“Receiving this scholarship means so much to me and will help me continue my education and work toward my future goals. Your investment in students like me inspires us to work hard and strive for success.”
The Alliance congratulates all four scholarship recipients and wishes them continued success in the years ahead.
