ECLC is a private, nonprofit, network of agencies providing lifelong services to children and adults with disabilities. Our two schools serve more than 300 children, ages 5-21. Our innovative teachers and professional staff are constantly exploring and seeking new ways to help our students achieve their greatest potential, through transition to work or engagement in day/evening programs.
Rock Brook School is a private, nonprofit school for children with Communication Impairments and Multiple Disabilities, ages 3 through 21. We offer a full range of programs and services, including: team teaching approach, full academic individualized programs, speech and language remediation, occupational and physical therapy, social skills training, behavior management, art, music, physical education, current educational technology, after school program and community activities.
St. Joseph's School for the Blind provides comprehensive educational and therapeutic services to children, and young adult students (ages 3-21) who are: Preschool Disabled, Blind/Visually Impaired and/or Multiply Disabled. Therapeutic intervention supporting developmentally based academic programs are individually formulated and implemented to meet a student's needs.
Community School's primary goal is to help children achieve a level of performance in the classroom that is fully commensurate with their abilities, intellects and talents. We provide skilled remedial help and a challenging college preparatory curriculum taught within the framework of an educational plan developed to meet each student's needs and learning style.
Midland opened its doors in 1960 for two students with developmental disabilities. Today the school serves approximately 200 students from central and northern New Jersey. The School is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and was twice honored by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
